Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification (Post-wise)
Forester Grade-I
- Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any subject from a recognized university.
Sub-Officer & Constable (WO/WT)
- Must have passed Higher Secondary (Science) with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
- Passing marks in all three subjects (PCM) are required.
Fireman & Emergency Rescuer
- Should have passed Higher Secondary (Science) from a recognized board.
Forest Guard, Game Watcher & Constable (UB) – APRO
- Passed H.S. (10+2) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board.
AFPF Constable, Constable (Grade-III), Bandman (Constable) & Bugler
- Must have passed HSLC or an equivalent exam.
- Home Guard Certificate or minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate is required for Constable (Grade-III), Bandman, and Bugler (Ex-Servicemen are not required to have this).
Bandman (Constable)
- Should know how to play musical instruments like Bagpipes, Snare Drum, Tenor Drum, Bass Drum, etc.
Bugler
- Must be able to play the Bugle.
Boatman
- Essential: Passed HSLC or an equivalent exam from a government-recognized board.
- Essential Skill: Must know swimming.
- Desirable: Higher education, sports skills, martial arts training, Home Guard experience, Lifeguard Training Certificate, or Crew Training Course from a government-recognized institute.
Experience (Desirable)

Constable (WO/WT) & Sub-Officer
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 (Pay Band-2)
- Grade Pay: ₹6,200

Fireman & Emergency Rescuer
- Pay Scale: ₹14,000 – ₹70,000 (Pay Band-2)

Selection Process
The recruitment for SLPRB Assam posts will be done in multiple stages, depending on the post. The process includes:
