The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a vacancy of 22000+ posts in 2026. The online form submission has been starting from 21 January 2026 till 20 February 2026. The candidate who have cleared high school (Class 10th) or have a valid ITI certificate are eligible to apply for this post. In this examination you’ll have a vacancy of 22,000 post and the name of the posts are Track Maintainer Grade IV, Pointsman-B, Assistant (Bridge, TRD, C&W, S&T). And to apply for this examination you have to be between 18 years to 33 years of age and also the age relaxation will be applied as per the category.

Education Qualification
The candidates who are interested in filling the form of RRB GROUP D. The candidate must have full the eligibility following here: –
- The candidate must have passed the matriculation or class 10 with a recognised board CBSE, Uttar Pradesh or any recognised board.
- Also if the candidate has passed or has the certificate of ITI from a recognised institute or NCVT / SCVT certified.
- If the candidate has NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) Certificate can also apply for them.
Age Limit
- If the candidate wants to apply for the form then he must be in between 18 years to 33 years age.
- The age relaxation is also applied for the category wise candidates.
- For SC / ST category :- The age relaxation is upto 5 years
- For OBC category:- The age relaxation is upto 3 years.
- For Ex-Servicemen:- the age relaxation is applied as per the board rules.
Selection Process
The process of the selection of candidates are follows as:-
- For the examination the candidate has to give a CBT (Computer Based Exam) mode examination and should qualify the examination to select for the second procedure.
- After passing the CBT Mode exam the candidate has to give a PET (Physical Efficiency Test) exam.
- After passing PET (Physical Efficiency Test) exam the board will send you a call letter or they will send you an E-mail for your Document Verification. In this you have to submit your documents such as marksheet, 10th or ITI certificate and ID proof every whatever the board will ask for.
- The last process of the examination is to give a Medical Examination. In this examination they will check your physical health, they will check every part of your body or whatever the board asks for and also you have to be fit and should qualify the examination.
Exam Pattern
The total number of questions is 100 and you will get 90 minutes to solve the questions.

Note:- There is also negative marking of ⅓ the marks .
Physical Test
The candidate has to give a physical test examination.
- For Male: The candidate should run 1000 meters in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.
And male should lift a weight of 35 kg and walk upto 100 meters. - For Female: The candidate should run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.
And also the candidate should lift a weight of 20 kg and walk upto 100 meters.
Application Fee
- The application fee for the candidate of GENERAL / OBC / EWS are:- 500 Rupees.
- The application fee for the candidate of SC / ST / Female / Transgender / Ex-Servicemen / PwBD / Minorities are:- 250 Rupees.
Note :- (You get some amount back after appearing in the exam).
Salary pay scale
- After selection in RRB Group D, candidates are paid salary as per the 7th Pay Commission.
- In pay Level 1 the candidate will get a basic pay of ₹18000 per month.
- After adding allowances, the monthly in-hand salary is approximately ₹22,000 to ₹25000 per month .
How to Apply for RRB GROUP D
- The candidate should go on the official website of RRB GROUP D.
- After that select the new registration link after clicking on that fill the basic details such as Name, E-Mail and set a Password.
- Then go back and click on login after login to fill in the actual details such as : Photo, Signature, ID Proof, Marksheet every details which were needed .
- After that pay the registration fee and submit the form .
- After submitting the form, check the notification and datesheet as well as admit to get in the examination hall.
