The Indian post GDS has been releasing a vacancy of expecting 25000+ vacancies. The post such as GDS (Gramin Dak Sevak), ABPM (Assistant Branch Postmaster ), BPM (Branch Post Master) throughout 23 circles in India. The candidate will be shortlisted on the basis of the merit list for the post of ABPM / BPM / GDS.
The merit will be released as per the class 10th marksheet. There will be no specific examination for this examination as per the search.

Indian Post GDS 2026 Eligibility Criteria
To be the eligible for this post the candidate must have these following eligibility:-
- The candidate must have passed class 10 from any recognised board CBSE / UP Board.
- The candidate must in between 18 to 40 years of age.
- (ST / SC / OBC) Category will receive a age relaxation given by the board.
- The candidate must know the language of their local or their circle.
Indian Post GDS Salary Structure
The salary of the candidate is as per the following post:-
- The BPM (Branch post master) will get a salary stipend of approx ₹12000 to ₹18000 thousand per month.
- The ABPM (Assistant branch postmaster) Will get a salary stipend of approx 10000 thousand to 16000 thousand per month.
Selection Process
- The selection process is fully based on the meri list which will be released by the board.
- And the merit will depend on the candidate marksheet of class 10. There will be no examination. The selection is on the basic of your marks and performance and percentage Of class 10 marksheet.
- Candidate whose name appears on the merit list will called for the medical and document verification at their respective branches or place .

Once the notification will release candidate must follow the steps to fill up the form : –
- Visit the official website of Indian post which is www.indiangdspost.com
- If you are new then click on the new registration and fill all the needed documents such as photo, name, mobile number, email address and then set a password etc.
- Then go back and login with the user name and password and then after select the post which you want to apply for and give the basic details such as marksheet, aadhar card or pan card, photo, signature, etc which will be needed.
- After that pay the admission fee and submit the form.
- After filling the form candidate must check the date of examination whenever the datesheet will release.
